Top 10 Reasons NOT to Do A Boudoir Session

Featured, Resources

If you’re here reading this… you’re probably curious about Boudoir Photography… and you’re probably wondering why I’m writing to tell you why you shouldn’t do a session…

Here’s the honest truth that I’ve come to understand over my photography career: if you are not prepared to see yourself in a totally new way in any type of photography… you’ll never love your photos. So here’s a quick checklist to determine if you’re mentally ready… if you’re ready to step into a new powerful, badass version of your self… or if it’s better that you continue playing small and being afraid to really go for something…

1. You constantly compare yourself to others

2. You speak negativly to yourself

3. You don’t enjoy and are opposed to personal growth & development.

4. You don’t enjoy transformation

5. You’d rather stay stuck and feeling unsexy

6. You prefer to continue giving excuses

7. You continually say “someday” when referencing your goals and desires

8. You don’t like feeling pampered, empowered and amazing.

9. You feel like it’s more important to put everyone elses needs above your own.

10. You aren’t willing to invest in yourself.

Did you say yes to any of those? Oh no! Don’t fret… here’s the deal… if you resonated with any of these reason s and you’re saying “wait! No! But I thoguht I wanted to do a session!” le tme assure you… you can overcome any one of these obstacles!

Spoiler alert! These are actually the common objections I hear and see when speaking to people about Boudoir. Many people think it’s simply “taking some sexy photos” or “only for new brides to do for their husbands” or “just something people who are really into themselves do.”

WRONG! Nope! Most of my clients that come in for a session had one (or all!) of these objections at some point. They didn’t feel confident, they didn’t feel sexy, they didn’t feel ready, they wanted to wait until the “perfect time” in their lives. But guess what?! 100% of them were SO glad they did a session NOW. Not after they waited to be perfect.

So what’s it gonna be? Are you gonna let the negative Nancy’s in your head take over? Or are we gonna do the dang thing?! Can’t wait to cha with you babe!

XOXO,

  sarah
